About the Lecturers

Anna Rodriguez developed a passion for herbs at an early age, both growing and using plants whilst still at school. She worked has a GP in both mixed and small animal practice since graduating from the RVC in 2003. Anna has a certificate in Veterinary Herbal Medicine and over 10 years of using phytotherapy.

She offers herbal medicine alongside mainstream treatment options as well as a veterinary herbal medicine referral service. Her interest in complimentary therapies led her to complete a certificate in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and Chronic Pain Management, allowing her to offer further options for integrated clinics.

Anna is currently the senior vet in a corporate owned, small animal practice in Norfolk. Sharing her passion for plants has led to co-creating Veterinary Herbal Training as a way of increasing knowledge and awareness of herbal medicine within the veterinary profession.

Chelsea Dawson qualified as a vet from Glasgow University and quickly went on to pursue her interest in chronic pain management. While working as a small animal GP she obtained a certificate in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and Chronic Pain Management. She began running pain clinics alongside general practice. Due to client demand her interest in phytotherapy was ignited. Chelsea went on to do training in Western Veterinary Herbal Medicine and has incorporated this into her regular treatments.

Chelsea has now left general practice and has launched True North Veterinary Wellness. She is running pain clinics and integrated clinics in East Lancashire and Yorkshire.

She is passionate about what she does and as a result her interests have turned to teaching. Chelsea has recently started to assist in the teaching of acupuncture with the Western Veterinary Acupuncture Group and has co-founded Veterinary Herbal Training as a way of teaching safe, science based herbal medicine to other vets.
